Here’s How to Quit a Job!
August 10th, 2010 by Andy Cole
Ever wanted to quit your job, but were afraid? Here’s a guy who went all-out:
A JetBlue flight attendant was arrested and is facing charges after he lost his cool following his plane’s landing at Kennedy Airport in New York City yesterday, after cursing on the intercom, activating the emergency slide, and then grabbing a couple of beers and jumping down the slide and off the plane. He faces charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. Mr. Slater appeared “pretty relieved” and “seemed like he was looking forward to whatever comes next careerwise,” a witness said.
Check out this computer-simulated reenactment of the whole mess!
I have to hand it to this guy, he certainly had guts, and gave the passengers on the jet a great story to tell. However, losing his cool and swearing over the address system (he was angry at a passenger who had insulted him) is totally unprofessional and the guy should face some consequences.
Have you ever quit a job in a dramatic way? Worse, have you ever had to come crawling back later on, after realizing you’d made a mistake? Let me know! Leave a comment here, or in the survey section!
