Ever feel like taking a stroll down David Grohl Alley? That will be the new name of a street currently called Market Alley in the Foo Fighters frontman’s birthplace of Warren, Ohio, after the locale’s City Council passed a resolution Wednesday approving the change. Grohl is expected to be invited to a dedication ceremony for the renamed lane, but details about when the event might take place are not yet available. Tribune Chronicle
Nine Inch Nails will be parting ways with drummer Josh Freese later this year following the completion of their North American Lights in the Sky tour. Freese, whose girlfriend is due to give birth to the couple’s third child in January, has been sitting on the NIN throne since 2005. “Yes, [Josh and I] are still dear friends,” reads a post from frontman Trent Reznor. “No, I’m not sure what we are going to do.” Nine Inch Nails — Official Site
”Ground Zero,” the latest single off Chris Cornell’s new album, Scream, was featured on Thursday’s series premiere of ABC’s Life on Mars. Cornell recently filmed a video for the Timbaland-produced track, which will feature scenes from Mars, as well as candid footage of the rocker on the streets of Brooklyn, N.Y. “I interacted with people on the street during the shoot, unbeknownst to them, so it was pretty funny,” says Cornell of the experience.
