Something new to the Zoo? The statue of Debbie the polar bear. What a great tribute to the coolest polar bear ever!

It’s just not the same walking by her (now empty) enclosure. At least now there’s something to remember her by.

Last year my mom and I walked around the zoo and had a blast! This is her on the camel slide. How cute is she??

The public education campaign to make drivers aware of the new law banning cell phone use and texting while driving in Manitoba started yesterday.
The new legislation was announced months ago, but will only be made into law during the first half of 2010. The law will also place a ban on smoking in a vehicle when children under the age of 16 are present.
The public information campaign will give motorists the details they need to amend their habits before the ban is put into place. Items such as hands-free calling devices and Bluetooth accessories will be part of the information passed along to motorists.

This video will absolutely bring a tear to your eye. Beyonce picked this little girl out of the crowd the other night performing in Australia. Her name is Chelsea, and she’s battling leukemia. Beyonce happens to be her idol, and this could very well be my favorite video of the year.

He made the catch of the game — pulling in a foul ball at yesterday’s Philadelphia Phillies game from his seat in the stands — but when Steve Monforto handed the precious ball to his little daughter Emily … she threw the ball back onto the field!

Monforto was all class after the blunder — immediately turning to comfort his daughter … because he “wanted to let her know that … she didn’t do anything wrong.” Dude also told MyFoxPhilly.com that a Phillies rep brought him a replacement ball as a souvenier later in the game.

As for Emily — girl’s got one heck of an arm!
