Frances Bay
Friday, September 28th, 2007
Here’s your chance to be a part of something special. Frances Bay is a Gemini Award winning actress originally from Dauphin who’s approaching her 90th birthday.
We TV buffs remember her in memorable roles – playing Grandma’s to both The Fonz and Happy Gilmore, she was the “rye bread lady” in Seinfeld, she’s acting in ER, Passions, Kojak, and many others over the years.
The Friends of Frances Bay would like to see her added to Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2008 just in time for her 90th Birthday.

A Whole new Language!
Friday, September 28th, 2007
I got a kick out of my neighbor Sharon the other day. She text me asking how to make a smiley face on the phone when she’s texting her family. I told her I do the easy face….the colon and the bracket ![]()
Nowadays, talking and texting with your kids requires you to learn a whole new language. Want help?
The Teen Chat Decoder is a place for people to find out what IM and text message acronyms and abbreviations mean. The site features an Internet safety report, safety tips, and more to keep your kids save when they’re online. http://www.teenchatdecoder.com/

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007
Have you bought yours yet? It’s guaranteed to get your co-workers talking. The women will love it and the men well…they can’t help but look(lol…maybe it’s a jealousy thing)
The calendars are available now at the World Famous Palomino Club at 1133 Potage Ave for $17.70 each. You can pick them up any evening Mon–Sat.
All proceeds of the calendar go directly to the Firefighter’s Burn Fund which helps aid burn survivors, buys medical equipment and supports the burn camp for kids.
PS-Check out January….there’s a shot of him 20 years ago(he was featured in the 1988 calendar) and a shot of him NOW. Geez…has he aged well. I want what he’s using;)
Too sexy to fly?
Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
Just days after a woman said she was almost kicked off a flight from San Diego to Phoenix because of what an airline employee said was revealing attire, an Encino, Calif., woman said the same thing happened to her.
Setara Qassim (in the green dress)was flying from Las Vegas to Burbank, Calif., in June when a Southwest flight attendant gave her a blanket and told her to cover up. Qassim said the flight attendant told her that the dress she was wearing was inappropriate.
Qassim said she was told that if she didn’t cover up, she’d be escorted off the plane by a security agent.
Earlier in the week, we told you about Kyla Ebbert (pictured below in the white skirt) who says she wants an apology from Southwest Airlines after being told to get off a plane and change her clothes because what she was wearing was too revealing.
These are the 2 women wearing the same outfits they were wearing on the days in question.
Now we want to know what you think. Are these outfits too revealing?

It’s been a long time….where do I start?
Justin Timberlake was good. Not great, but good. I went to the Saturday night show and I found the sound to be a little off. One things for sure, the guys got moves. He’s a great dancer. Stage was cool, lights were fabulous, but the sound was a little muddy.
I officially had the worst golf game of my life…last week at Chicks with Sticks. The absolute worst!! Someone asked me “Billie Jo what did you score?” I believe my reply was “What’s 8 x 9?” Ahhhh and it’s a Par 3. I guess that’s why I keep going back.
Sept. long I hit the road to Milden…thankfully the drive didn’t seem like 7 1/2hrs, I brought a g’friend along..she had never been to Sk before. I showed her the sites..not that there’s much to see in my hometown: the golf course, school, cows, a John Deere Tractor, and a grain truck. What else is there?
Sunday we stopped in Regina for the Labour Day game. WoW!! What a gr8 game. Glad to see the Rider fans still know how to throw a party. Even though we were engulfed in a sea of Green, at times I found myself cheering for the Bombers:) I’m really looking forward to the Banjo Bowl this Sunday. Go _______!!! (you fill in the blanks)
Have a Super Back To School Week…talk to you sooner than later!
Billie J
